IDS Group hires Richard Murray to head up Business Solutions

Tuesday, July 08, 2014
Opalesque Industry Update - IDS has announced Richard Murray will join the company as head of Business Solutions.

Richard has a strong investment background having worked for a number of years in London for Bank of America Merrill Lynch and Morgan Stanley. His international experience adds to the considerable strength of the IDS team which now exceeds 110 staff in Cape Town.

The company said "Business Solutions" is what IDS is all about, covering administration for alternative investment and hedge funds, unit trusts, private equity as well as middle office solutions and services through client focused solutions tailored to meet each client’s requirements.

With pending regulations that will allow alternative investment funds in South Africa to be registered under the Collective Investment Schemes Act (CISCA), the options available to the hedge fund industry will be considerably enhanced. IDS believes that it is at the forefront of providing guidance and solutions to investment managers in South Africa.
