Glenmede Investment Management adds to small & mid-cap team

Thursday, December 07, 2017
Opalesque Industry Update - Glenmede Investment Management LP (GIM), a privately owned, independent investment management firm, today announced the appointment of Jordan Irving as a portfolio manager on its Small & Mid Cap Equity team.

Irving joins long-term GIM portfolio managers Robert Mancuso and Christopher Colarik in the management and oversight of all Small Cap Equity and Mid Cap Equity portfolios.

"The addition of Jordan to our team further expands our resources and fits with our commitment to creating a long-term home for talented managers," said Colarik, who has co-managed small cap portfolios at GIM for 16 years. "Markets are inefficient, and we believe skilled investment professionals have the ability to generate long-term performance for their clients via diversified, actively managed portfolios. Jordan's experience and comfort with our collaborative, team-based approach will allow him to contribute immediately."

Mancuso, who has been a GIM small cap portfolio manager since 1993, added, "Jordan's overall investment philosophy is well aligned with the steady, consistent approach and core beliefs we have followed. Additionally, Jordan's prior experience managing value-oriented portfolios is a skill set we appreciate on the team."

Irving has 20 years of investment management experience. He most recently served as a founding partner and portfolio manager at Irving Magee Investment Management. Previously, Irving worked as a senior portfolio manager for both large and small cap value equity strategies at Macquarie Investment Management (formerly Delaware Investments). Earlier, he was part of the U.S. Active Large-Cap Value team within Merrill Lynch Investment Managers where he worked for six years.

Irving earned a Bachelor of Arts in American Studies from Yale University and a graduate diploma from Oxford University in England.

The Small and Mid Cap Equity Strategies, launched in 1991 and 2000, respectively, incorporate an investment process that integrates quantitative proprietary screens with fundamental insights. Mancuso and Colarik's tenure managing the strategies underscores the emphasis GIM places on continuity of processes and people.
