SEB True Market Neutral Fund first Nordic fund of hedge funds with S&P AA rating

Tuesday, July 05, 2011
Opalesque Industry Update – S&P, which rated SEB’s fund of hedge fund offering, the True Market Neutral Fund a AA, says that the Nordic Financial Services Group “deserves credit for its highly disciplined application of the process as evidenced by achieving the fund objective throughout and during periods in which the overwhelming majority of fund of hedge funds have fallen short.”

The Fund, which is the first Nordic based fund of hedge funds to receive such a high rating, returned 3% in 2008 and has had positive returns in the years since. SEB states that the fund’s yearly target is 3%-4% above the risk free rate, non-correlation to the equity markets.

SEB also announced that it’s Dynamic Manager Alpha and Asset Selection funds were also rated AA by S&P.
