Global managed assets reach US$53 trillion at year-end 2010

Tuesday, June 28, 2011
Opalesque Industry Update - Global AUM are back to where they were in 2007, with total AUM reaching US$53 trillion at the end of 2010. While it took less than 6 months to wipe out some US$10 trillion in AUM in 2008-2009, it has taken the better part of two years to put that back.

Cerulli believes that total AUM could reach US$76 trillion by 2015, which suggests a 5-year CAGR of 7.5%. This is marginally higher than Cerulli's forecast from 12 months ago (for the five years ending 2014), but lower than the 8.6% 5-year CAGR estimated in 2008 (for the 5 years ending 2013). Source
