Hedge fund firm Och Ziff reports reports flat returns in May for flagship fund, Asia fund down 1.71%

Opalesque Industry Update – New York-based institutional alternative asset manager and hedge fund firm Och Ziff has reported that its Master Fund is flat for the month of May, (+4.12% YTD). Two of the firm’s other funds were slightly up and the Asia fund took a blow with a loss of -1.71% during the tumultuous month.

OZ Europe Master Fund 0.24% (+4.21% YTD)
OZ Asia Master Fund -1.71% (+0.52% YTD)
OZ Global Special Investments Master Fund +0.49% (+6.13% YTD)

During the month the firm saw asset growth of approximately $600m (inclusive of May performance and June flows).

Shares of Och Ziff (OZ) ended Wednesday trading at 14.33.
