CFTC approves CME swap data repository

CME Group said it received approval from a federal regulator to launch a data warehouse for certain derivatives, days after the Chicago exchange and clearinghouse operator filed a lawsuit against the same regulator.
The Commodity Futures Trading Commission approved CME Repository Service, a warehouse that will house the details of transactions in credit default swaps, interest rate swaps, commodities swaps and foreign exchange swaps.
