BHP sees long-term price fall for commodities

Marius KloppersMarius Kloppers, chief executive of BHP Billiton, the world’s biggest mining company, said he expects “long-term” price declines for its commodities as demand cools. Marius Kloppers, chief executive of the FTSE 100-listed miner, said that prices will decline in the long term “across the product suite”. “That is what we have assumed in our planning processes for the last couple of years and we see no reason to change that,” he added.
“We go through a pretty rigorous process to pick those long-term prices. They are, by and large, lower,” Mr Kloppers told Australian television. “Some products are going to more attractive than others,” he added………………………………………..Full Article: Source
