Research among consultants in the last quarter of 2015 indicates an increased demand for private equity and infrastructure. On the legal scene; Argentina and the bond holdouts have reached an agreement on the country's debt; Judge Deborah Batts has sentenced Samir Barai to two years of supervised release for insider trading; hedge funds’ case against Porsche SE got a boost from a German judge; and the four hedge funds that reached a deal with Argentina have filed an appeal that may complicate a final resolution of the 15-year legal battle. On the M&A scene, 50 South Capital Advisors has acquired Aurora Investment Management; and Gottex Fund has sold its multi-asset investment business, Frontier Investment, back to its founder.
