Polen Capital launches global growth equity strategy

Polen Capital has launched a new global growth equity strategy fund. The fund will be managed by Julian Pick and is available to both US and European accredited and retail investors.

The strategy employs the same investment philosophy as Polen Capital’s flagship Focus Growth strategy, investing in a global universe of companies.

Pick joined Polen from Janus Capital where he co-managed the Janus Institutional International Equity Portfolio and the Janus Advisor International Equity Fund. He also served as Co-Portfolio Manager of the Global Growth strategy for Sands Capital in Arlington, VA.

"We are focusing on companies where there is a long-term growth opportunity," Polen CEO Stan Moss tells Opalesque. "The universe of companies we are looking at is worldwide, so the strategy provides a highly diversified exposure."

The portfolio is typically limited to about 30 holdings that the portfolio manager believes have the best chance for sustained earnings growth. The Global Growth Equity strategy was initially launched on December 30, 2014. A new mutual fund, the Polen Global Growth Fund (PGIIX), which seeks to mirror the management and make-up of the Global Growth strategy, was also opened to new investors on the same date. The Polen Capital Focus Global Growth UCITS Fund was launched on January 29, 2015 for non-U.S. investors.
