Privium launches European emerging managers platform

Bailey McCann, Opalesque New York for New Managers:

Amsterdam-based Privium Fund Management has launched a new platform for European emerging managers. The Privium Investment Fund will allow portfolio managers to develop a track-record and generate performance within an institutional fund infrastructure.

The platform follows the designs of other offerings for emerging managers - providing infrastructure support while allowing managers to focus on finding seed capital and raise assets. The structure aims to support new initiatives with liquid strategies and listed instruments. The fund itself is structured as an umbrella fund domiciled in the Cayman Islands. It incorporates new regulations including: AIFMD, FATCA and EMIR as well as upcoming new regulations in Switzerland. It also offers the possibility to add on several other services benefitting from the economies of scale of the platform.

In the United Kingdom the investment management activities are authorized and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.

Earlier this month, Privium launched the Privium Sustainable Alternatives Fund, which focuses on microfinance investments and sustainable real estate, Opalesque reported at the time.
