Near Term Trend: Negative
Monday’s Close: $1,383.10 (- $4.50)
UPDATE: In the last few weeks, we identified support at $1,340.00, and resistance at $1,420.00.
Following the identification of those inflection points, the market dipped to $1,338.00 and then proceeded to rally to $1,424.00. On both occasions the levels were touched for just a few minutes before reversing.
At this juncture, Gold volatility has contracted and is currently trading in a narrow range.
A near term close above $1,394.50 could allow Gold to trade toward $1,440.00.
