Jabre gets mandate from Pictet

Swiss private bank Pictet & Cie has given the management of a new fund to Philippe Jabre, founder of the hedge fund firm Jabre Capital Partners, according to Swiss daily paper Le Temps yesterday. This product will invest traditionally (long-only) in convertible bonds.

Philippe Jabre, who used to be a hedge fund trader for GLG, left London for Geneva in 2006, after he and GLG were fined by the UK FSA for market abuse. His firm, an asset management and advisory business, employs 52 staff – many of them tran......................
